Drumshanbo town is surrounded by scenic woodland on the south shore of Lough Allen, which is one of the major course fishing centres in the country.
 

It is easily accessible by rail from Connolly Station to Carrick On Shannon, road or river, and just two hours from Dublin on the new M4 motor way.

With a population of 700 people, Drumshanbo provides a friendly atmosphere for the visitor and there is an abundance of good pubs, restaurants and shops as well as activities for all the family.
